Welcome to Herons Farm - A truly beautiful and individual country retreat in an exquisite location close to Pangbourne on Thames in Royal Berkshire, England.

We are only a 5 minute drive from Pangbourne station, car parking is £3 per day, so a train to Reading for business or pleasure is only 10 minutes and trains run very frequently approx every half an hour after 9 am.

Herons Farm is steeped in history and is of significant interest with its historical buildings, including an impressive listed octagonal barn. Secluded in the heart of the English countryside amidst manicured lawns, mysterious woodlands and enchanting grounds, in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The farm is approximately 400 acres, and has an on site riding school and equestrian centre. Ideally situated for tourism, escape weekends, B&B, sporting events and holiday leisure breaks. The function barn has a shower room / toilet suitable for a wheelchair user.

At Herons farm we are in the perfect location to explore some of Britains stunning National Trust properties & Gardens. On site we have our very own octagonal barn built by Alferd Waterhouse in 1884 which is visually stunning and the only one in existence. Timber framed with internal brick nogging, brick plinth, and shaped and plain tile hanging. Interlocking tile roof and 8 gables with 4-light casements. Octagonal plan with ailes. 5 narrow windows on each face. Complex radiating timber and iron roof structure with central timber and iron column. Enamel plaques on walls listing prizes won by cattle. This building is part of a model farm complex once served by its own narrow gauge railway

SELF CATERING ACCOMMODATION: - Available on a daily basis. The stable cottage flats offer privacy, and independence. These can be self catering, or B&B with breakfast served in the farmhouse

Unique charming rustic accommodation converted stable overlooking cobbled courtyard. Stable door entrance, terracotta floor tiles throughout, double bedroom on ground floor with original slit windows, open plan kitchen / living area with hand made ash units. (spare single bed tucked in the corner.)

WEEKLY HOLIDAY SELF CATERING RENTALS

In the kitchens you will find everything you will need for your first breakfast, juice, cereal, milk, butter, bread, marmalade, cheese, biscuits and fresh fruit. For those who wish to cook we’ve stocked up with basics like oil, herbs and spices, tinfoil etc. Should you want a full English breakfast this can be ordered and served in the farm house at £7.50 per person.

One double bed and one single bed, plus a 32" freesat television and fridge The marble bathroom has a fun tub and a double power shower / steam room. Looking onto the large roof garden with beautiful views over the gardens and paddocks.

Garden View - Double Bedroom

The Garden View has a double bed and en-suite shower / steam room and toilet. There is also a 42" freesat television and fridge.

Willow View - Double Bedroom

Very large double room dual aspect, views over lawn and paddocks queen size double bed not en-suite

Pink Room - Two Single Beds or (One Super Kingsize Double plus a small double.)

The private bathroom is not en-suite but consists of a full length bath, shower, wash basin etc.

SELF CONTAINED FLATS:

Business week 4 night stay £54 per night + vat (single occupancy, breakfast in the farmhouse £8.00)

£100 for two people (breakfast can be served in the farmhouse for £8.00 pp.)

We accept cash, debit cards, all major credit cards subject to 2% charge.

Discount available for longer stays

A 50% depost will be required at the time of the booking. Rooms cancelled within 8 weeks of the date of arrival are subject to a full cancellation charge.

Unless agreed prior to arrival check in is from 3.00pm on day of arrival and rooms must be vacated by 10.30am on day of departure.

For your safety all the flats and farmhouse have a Banhams interconnected fire and smoke alarm system therefore are strictly No Smoking and No candles.
